Hello again friends,
As mentioned yesterday, I am going to start a product review section. The intent is to share my thoughts on the products I use - the pros, cons, my recommendation, links to more detail, etc. I am assuming that the majority of you have a digital camera and take pictures (vacation and travel, family gatherings, holidays, etc.). You may also have photography as one of your hobbies (or you may actually be a photographer!)
So I hope these articles will help you with you own interests and desires and at least give you more of a personal perspective before you go out and buy something. As you know, most of the reviews online and "designed to sell". Even many of the independent sites do not truly give you the recommendation or try to steer you in the right direction. So hopefully this is a source to complement your own research. I will let you in on where i do my research as well.
Stay tuned - the first review will be coming soon. In the meantime, here is a list of tools I currently use in the trade. Feel free to email me with questions on any products you have in question. I will use the blog to answer it if in fact I know something about it, or can put together a comparison analysis.

A Few Exciting Updates To Share!
Just a quick note today on some happenings...please spread the word - I am looking to increase my website traffic and have interested friends, family, and others in the Tri-State area come visit my upcoming Summer & Fall shows. Many thanks for your support so far...
1) SAVE THE DATE! - My first Gallery exhibit is coming up in Red Hook, Brooklyn at 499 Van Brunt Street. This exhibit is by the Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition (http://www.bwac.org/) - check out their website for more details.
2) WEBSITE UPDATED - I am still working on improvements to http://www.danmarinophoto.com/. Check on the Displayed Art section - I have added images displayed at some of my recent shows. I will plan on doing this after each event as a way to reach out to those of you who cannot make the shows in person. http://www.danmarinophoto.com/ will be the main site to promote my fine art work. I will also be incorporating more of my areas of focus soon as well and/or through additional sites - stay tuned. Enjoy the show links. Next immediate areas of focus to watch out for: *Updated Logo, *Bio & Resume Page, *1st Published Photo Essay (will be on blog), *Equipment Product Reviews.
3) THE VIEWPOINT (aka THIS BLOG) - I have added additional ways for you to subscribe. Look below email subscription and you will find an RSS / Other Reader link. This is for those of you that like information delivered away from your inbox and in a more controlled atmosphere.
4) UPDATED EQUIPMENT - Yes yes, exciting times indeed. In addition to my Canon 40D body upgrade a few months back, I have now added the Canon EF 24-105MM L IS USM Lens - in laymen terms - a kick a@# lens with crystal clear optics that results in very sharp, well balanced and extreme color images. I will be posting new images to the blog soon to share.
Again, thanks for your support and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Write me an email and let’s catch up!

Reminder: Coney Island Art Festival on Sunday June 8!
I just wanted to remind you that the art festival is quickly approaching this coming Sunday, June 8 from 12Pm-7PM. I will be setup when you first walk in and displaying until at leat 5:30PM. it looks like mother nature will grace us with a stifling 95 degree day! The show inside keyspan park will help because most of the exhibit area will have an overhang that will avoid the direct sun (hopefully one of those spots will be reserved for moi!). What better way to spend a beautiful weekend day that at America's Playground. The cyclone roller coaster is running full steam; as is the Wonder Wheel and some other attractions. The beach should be full of the "worshippers" and the boardwalk bar and lounge Ruby's is sure to be filled.
Here is a sampling of the images I will have on display. Some will be related to Coney Island; others will be other very cool images :)
SEE YOU AT THE SHOW!
